Grande Roche Hotel

Grande Roche Hotel

Grande Roche Hotel description:
Grande Roche is situated on the site of the old De Nieuwe Plantatie in the Drakenstein Valley of Paarl.

Its heritage dates back to 1707 when a grant of land was given to Hermanus Bosman.

In 1876, the homestead was renovated to reflect the then popular Victorian style.

The farm was bought and modernised by the Du Toit family in 1926 and after a fire in 1953 it was rebuilt as a Victorian manor house.

It was finally restored to its original Cape Dutch splendour after careful research in 1991 and transformed into a luxury hotel.

In 1993, the fastidious restoration was acknowledged when the Grande Roche Estate was declared a National Monument.

Each of our luxurious suites and rooms have been lavishly designed and decorated for the comfort and pampering of guests.

We ensure that everyone who visits Grande Roche leaves with special memories of this unique estate escape, the treasure of the Cape Winelands.

The old T-shaped manor house, dating back to 1707, accommodates the award-winning Bosman's Restaurant where a reservation is a promise of a treat in store.

Executive Chef, Roland Gorgosilich, and his team demonstrate their art each evening.

Imaginative combinations of flavours and textures of quality ingredients are perfectly prepared and presented to make up a culinary experience of the highest order.

The well-stocked cellar with its rare wines and vintage champagnes is a delight to guests, who are assisted in their choice by the Head Sommelier and his team who also conduct private wine tastings.

The stylish Bistro Allegro that adjoins the patio and pool area offers a relaxed and informal bistro-style dining.
