Housed in a National Monument 1862, Fountain Place exudes a sense of warmth, friendship and history, along with its reeded ceilings and painted bedroom floors.

Your hosts, Mark and Jane, offer their guests a very high quality and professional service, whilst retaining a warm, friendly and personal approach.

An ideal venue for newly-weds, second honeymooners, or simply just for a romantic and relaxing break.

For those of you with young families, or those who simply like to do your own thing, there is a further option two self-catering cottages, situated only 5 minutes’ walk from the guesthouse.

These are charming and self-contained, with a relaxed and casual atmosphere.

Pets are welcome and families with young children will be able to relax whilst the children have the freedom to run around and play.

There are two guest suites, comprising bedroom queen-size or single beds and fireplace, private lounge with tea and coffee-making facilities and bar fridge and en suite Victorian-style shower room.

Each lounge leads onto the central vine-covered stoep and each bedroom looks out onto the mature walled garden.

The suites are tastefully furnished and decorated with a mixture of antique furniture, high quality fittings and unique decorative items.

All adding to an atmosphere of elegance and comfort.

Although guests have their own lounge, they are welcome to make use of the Main Lounge, watch DStv, read magazines and books, or simply just relax.

In addition, there is a lovely braai area for the use of the guests, as well as wireless internet/e-mail facilities.

There are also many places to sit in this walled secret garden, where guests can just relax, watch the birds playing in the fountains and drink in the atmosphere of tranquility.
